Freedom from sin!

Freedom from your sin! Trust that God will hold you up and give you strength to make it through any circumstance 

All I ever need Lord is You!

I entrust my spirit into your hand. Rescue me, Lord, for you are a faithful God. (Psalms 31:5 NLT)

God you are the Universe and you are All I ever need; yet at times I forget to trust you with everything that I am. Remind me Lord you are the Center

Failing daily

But those who fail to develop in this way are shortsighted or blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their old sins. (2 Peter 1:9 NLT)

God I struggle daily to not fail you but I seem to come up short each day. I find myself doing I know what is wrong and allowing my fleshly desires overcome my spiritual health. Help me recognize the path I am heading towards and set me on the straight and narrow 

Keep your conscience clear

Cling to your faith in Christ, and keep your conscience clear. For some people have deliberately violated their consciences; as a result, their faith has been shipwrecked. (1 Timothy 1:19 NLT)

Often times Lord, my faith becomes compromised. I know at times I allow the enemy's voice to enter my head.; but I want the Holy Spirit to dwell in all aspects of my being. Help me Lord to make decisions that are worthy of your blessing 

Lies that hinder right living

Keep me from lying to myself; give me the privilege of knowing your instructions. (Psalms 119:29 NLT)

God.... I try to justify lies with excuses and say to myself one time won't hurt....but you know my heart....cleanse me from all things that are not right in my life

Sprit anew

So each generation should set its hope anew on God, not forgetting his glorious miracles and obeying his commands. (Psalms 78:7 NLT)

Each new day is a gift from God! I want to have an anewed Spirit that honors God's teachings. 

Christ my Savior!!!!

The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David! (Luke 2:11 NLT)

Thank you God for loving us so much that you would send your Son to spend time with us on Earth; to show us how to love; how to always strive to do the next right thing. Christ the perfect gift....My God, My Savior, & My Deliverer!!

Christ is Born

May the grace of the Lord Jesus be with you. (1 Corinthians 16:23 NLT)

Through the birth if Christ, we are able to experience his grace given by his ultimate sacrifice...for he had to be born first

Our power and trust in ourselves is limited compared to God's limitless trust

It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in people. (Psalms 118:8 NLT)

God, people and relationships around me fail. We sometimes rely on our limited power to gain insight instead of putting our trust in you first. 

Remind me that trusting in myself always ends up in failure

Faith in Christ and not in ourselves

So we are made right with God through faith and not by obeying the law. (Romans 3:28 NLT)

Doing good won't get you a spot in heaven....it's having faith in the free gift of GRACE through Christ 

God is faithful

I entrust my spirit into your hand. Rescue me, Lord, for you are a faithful God. (Psalms 31:5 NLT)

Help me Lord when I fail to see that you are a faithful God 

Following our ways instead of God's ways

Those who love your instructions have great peace and do not stumble. (Psalms 119:165 NLT)

Lord I find myself at peace when I am following you...when I don't follow...this is when the world around me crumbles. Help me when I know better but still choose to follow my ways instead of yours 

Warnings that God provides that we fail to follow

They heard the alarm but ignored it, so the responsibility is theirs. If they had listened to the warning, they could have saved their lives. (Ezekiel 33:5 NLT)

God your warnings are so clear, so why do we still go against them, why do we find the need to test boundaries!!! Remind me that all choices have consequences (good or bad) 

In my weakness, Lord you are faithful

Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. (2 Corinthians 12:9 NLT)

God help me see that my failures can be used for your glory 

Inner struggles

How long must I struggle with anguish in my soul, with sorrow in my heart every day? How long will my enemy have the upper hand? (Psalms 13:2 NLT)

God,  why when everything appears to being going right....there is still turmoil or struggle in my heart. On the outside I am blessed beyond measure but inside my heart there is a conflict that I cannot pinpoint. Help me during this time of confusion 

In my weakness, God is still present

He remembered us in our weakness. His faithful love endures forever. (Psalms 136:23 NLT)

God in my time of weakness you have proven EVER strong. Help me see that anxiety and worry are not your ways! Calm my heart from all my inadequacies; show me how to change and to do No more harm!!

Light from the darkness

“But true wisdom and power are found in God; counsel and understanding are his. “He uncovers mysteries hidden in darkness; he brings light to the deepest gloom. (Job 12:13, 22 NLT)

God shine the light on my darkness, help me see past my mistakes....help alleviate any guilt or condemnation. Show me your promises to comfort me when I am sad or discouraged is always covered by your SON's Blood

God's insight is the only way to wisdom

Those who trust their own insight are foolish, but anyone who walks in wisdom is safe. (Proverbs 28:26 NLT)

God there are many times I rely on my foolish thinking. I try to justify my unhealthy choices as life lessons, but in reality there are many things in this world you would spare me from, but yet I still choose things that bring destruction to my life instead of listen to your wisdom. Help me see the unhealthy decisions and move towards a way of thinking that honors your way of life!!! 

God has remained faithful even when I have not

But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted! (John 15:7 NLT)

God I hear your words in my heart and my soul; yet my mind chooses to be disobedient at times. The consequences are so Grand that in the moment of disobedience I am not thinking about the consequences but only my selfish desires. Help me overcome the things I am so weak to handle by keeping your words instilled in my heart!!

Be patient and pray through the darkness

Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble, and keep on praying. (Romans 12:12 NLT)

God help me....help me see past the darkness, so the truth comes out 

Not doing right by God

Don’t you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves...... (1 Corinthians 6:9 NLT)

God help me realize my mistakes even as I do them; help me be strong and turn around the other way. Give me peace and comfort where it is lacking 

I want to meditate on God's promises

I lie awake thinking of you, meditating on you through the night. (Psalms 63:6 NLT)

God when I think of you and spend my time in your presence. you help me with making the tough decisions and put me on the right path. Help me see past my selfish desires

Being humble

Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too. (Philippians 2:3, 4 NLT)

God uses humbleness to not thinking less of yoyrself but thinking of yourself less

Blessings are found in God's presence and not in our possessions or status

You have endowed him with eternal blessings and given him the joy of your presence. (Psalms 21:6 NLT)

Lord remind me that my blessings are beyond measure. Remind me when I am too quick to complain or judge because something doesn't go my way.,.,remind me that my blessings come from you and not of this world. 

I want your blessings to outshine anything my human hands can create. Remind us that our blessings are found in your presence! 

Honor God for his strength

Honor the Lord, you heavenly beings; honor the Lord for his glory and strength. The Lord gives his people strength. The Lord blesses them with peace. (Psalms 29:1, 11 NLT)

God is deserving of all glory. Thank you Lord for providing strength when we lack it to move forward. You never get tired and are always working your strength for us 

God given patience

May God, who gives this patience and encouragement, help you live in complete harmony with each other, as is fitting for followers of Christ Jesus. (Romans 15:5 NLT)

God when I lack the patience to wait on you; help me see that waiting on you is always worth the lasting reward that comes foe God given patience 

Certainty in God's Word!

so you can be certain of the truth of everything you were taught. (Luke 1:4 NLT)

There is certainty in God's WORD!!! Th Word is Christ!!!! He is living, breathing, and everlasting!! 

Riches are not measured by what you have physically

The rich and poor have this in common: The Lord made them both. (Proverbs 22:2 NLT)

Whatever your financial circumstance, know that you are no different from the person standing next to you. God made the same sacrifice for the rich and the poor, it's the same blood that covers all sin. When you worry about paper wealth, try to remain focused on the only wealth that matters- Precious Blood of Christ

God doesn't change

Numbers 23:19 NLT

God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through?

God you never change your promises. I can trust in you in all things. help me see where I have failed and help me see were you have succeeded

Character Foundation

1 Samuel 16:7 NLT

But the Lord said to Samuel, “Don’t judge by his appearance or height, for I have rejected him. The Lord doesn’t see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

I'm so thankful that the Lord sees us beyond our outward appearance.  I want to have a character that is pleasing to God, a character that is formed by doing what's right and following the most perfect example and that is found in Christ Jesus

God is My Rock

Isaiah 26:4, 7 NLT

Trust in the Lord always, for the Lord God is the eternal Rock. But for those who are righteous, the way is not steep and rough. You are a God who does what is right, and you smooth out the path ahead of them.

God your promises for a better future are within reach. Help me see that my path to a great future has to include you!!
