Intentional with God's guidance

Being intentional with God's guidance. Lord I need my strength renewed constantly and I know you are always intentional with my life path. Help me see past my selfish ways and be intentional with guiding others when I can 

Seeking God

Search for the LORD and for his strength; continually seek him. (1 Chronicles 16:11 NLT)

Lord when I fail to focus on you, remind me to seek you in all things, so your strength can fall on me and shine through any self doubt 

Everything with Love

And do everything with love. (1 Corinthians 16:14 NLT)

Lord what a wonderful practice even when I am not in the mood to show love. I know that love heals all things 

Guarded by God's peace

Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:7 NLT)

Lord give peace when I am anxious! I want to depend on you. Thank you with filling my heart and mind with peace 

Never underestimate a broken spirit

The sacrifice you desire is a broken spirit. You will not reject a broken and repentant heart, O God. (Psalms 51:17 NLT)

Lord we often believe we should always be strong but it's the times at our weakest moments we have found you closer than ever. Remind me that you always meet me wherever I am! I never have to search far! 

Anxious thoughts

He calmed the storm to a whisper and stilled the waves. (Psalms 107:29 NLT)

We serve a mighty God to have the power to calm the oceans and storms with just his words, so I am reminded that this same power can make still any anxious feelings or thoughts that would try to invade my life 

Good health

Lord, your discipline is good, for it leads to life and health. You restore my health and allow me to live! (Isaiah 38:16 NLT)

With being sick for the past week, I am reminded how grateful I am to know that God always brings something good out of something so yucky. The Lord uses our bodies to remind us to slow down our daily grind. So sometimes getting sick is a reminder that God tells us to take care of ourselves  

Qualities to live for

We prove ourselves by our purity, our understanding, our patience, our kindness, by the Holy Spirit within us, and by our sincere love. (2 Corinthians 6:6 NLT)

Lord I want to strive each day for these qualities in my life. Let me prove to myself that there are far better things in life that can be demonstrated in service to others 

When you need help

Commit everything you do to the LORD. Trust him, and he will help you. (Psalms 37:5 NLT)

Lord I often find myself crying out for help and become impatient when the help does not come in my timing. I selfishly believe I know the kind of help and guidance I need instead of trusting God holds all the answers. Lord I want to commit all my worries and fears to you so the help you desire to give me is not overlooked by me 

When moments are not calm

For the LORD your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.” (Zephaniah 3:17 NLT)

Lord thank you for the Spirit of calmness. Thank you for living in my heart so I may know that fear does not exist when I live in you each day

Be comforted when in doubt

When doubts filled my mind, your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer. (Psalms 94:19 NLT)

Lord when I find myself falling and doubting...I pray for your comfort...I pray that you guide me through each circumstance with a renewed hope in a better life 

Sometimes we have to be broken

Lord although we wish life circumstances could be perfect, I am thankful for brokenness because in these moments I know I am closer to you than I realize. The breath of God is so near touching my face and whispering in my ear that there would be no other place I rather be than broken in your presence 

Even in my weakness God shows his strength

He remembered us in our weakness. His faithful love endures forever. (Psalms 136:23 NLT)

Even in my weakness the Lord manages to always show his strength. Whatever battle you face today and you have no more strength.....know that God's love will sustain you

Humility with your heart

Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up in honor. (James 4:10 NLT)

God show me the direction of humility. Help me humble my heart and demonstrate the fruit of love and forgiveness 

Calmness through our daily affairs

For the LORD your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.” (Zephaniah 3:17 NLT)

To be truly calm over our circumstances requires release over all our control. I am reminded that God takes pleasure In handling our daily affairs if we allow him to move freely without getting in the way

Be joyful for God is enough to satisfy every desire

You satisfy me more than the richest feast. I will praise you with songs of joy. (Psalms 63:5 NLT)

Some days just require that we sing praises of joy for each blessing. I know I often forget to be joyful for what I already have because I am focused on what I hope to have! It's good to know that God is more than enough to satisfy every desire so we should be joyful each day! 

Grace promise

Because of his grace he declared us righteous and gave us confidence that we will inherit eternal life. (Titus 3:7 NLT)

Grace promise!! Grace is the most valuable asset we possess but we often forget that we have this very important commodity. With grace, lives can be changed, hurts can be forgiven and peace can be found. The only reason that we are allowed to possess such an important gem is because God gave grace first-free of charge with no strings attached when his son Jesus spread his arms across a cross to take every sin away!
