Forgiveness in the heart even when we least deserve it

Lord I struggle each day with poor decisions or second guessing my choices. I feel like I lack faith sometimes, because I allow my flesh to dictate what I know is not right. Please forgive me Lord; see my repentant heart. Help me overcome my sin and guilt

Having a changed heart

“The Lord your God will change your heart and the hearts of all your descendants, so that you will love him with all your heart and soul and so you may live! (Deuteronomy 30:6 NLT)

God, life is found in a changed heart that wants to please you and a heart that wants to follow your ways

Living out the truths of your heart

Never let loyalty and kindness leave you! Tie them around your neck as a reminder. Write them deep within your heart. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil. (Proverbs 3:3, 6, 7 NLT)

Lord you speak truth into my life and I pray that I am able to keep these truths close to my heart and live them out daily 

Change my heart

And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart. (Ezekiel 36:26 NLT)

God help me see past the guilt and brokenness of my heart. Change what I think is impossible...change the hardness that I feel inside. 

There is hope beyond your poor choices

So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you have to endure many trials for a little while. (1 Peter 1:6 NLT)

God although it's not what I want to experience, I understand that pain is sometimes necessary for me to understand the depths of my choices

Living a Godly Life

1 Timothy 6:11, 17 NLT

......... Pursue righteousness and a godly life, along with faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness. Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment.

God remind us that our trust should be in you alone.  Lord, help us see past our own selfish desires, so our hearts are ready to worship you and follow your ways

Trust God for cleansing blood over all your mistakes

let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water. (Hebrews 10:22 NLT)

Trust that Christ has covered any and all mistakes you have done! Trust that God will cleanse you from any guilty feelings 

Not being self centered

Because of the privilege and authority God has given me, I give each of you this warning: Don’t think you are better than you really are. Be honest in your evaluation of yourselves, measuring yourselves by the faith God has given us. (Romans 12:3 NLT)

Lord keep me humble....remind me that my sins are not any different from those around me. Remind me that my sins are not any less hurtful because of my socio economic status being higher than others. Remind me that my status on earth has no weight in eternity!!! Help me see past my conceit and trust in my faith in your promises! 

Wisdom of God

But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere. And those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of righteousness. (James 3:17, 18 NLT)

This verse reminds me of one of my favorite quotes: "Wisdom is God's mind revealed!"

God's wisdom is pure and all loving; we need this kind of wisdom in our daily lives if we want to succeed with obtaining our best life possible!!! 

God knows the true desires of your heart; since he created them!

He made their hearts, so he understands everything they do. (Psalms 33:15 NLT)

God you created me and know my true heart's desires. Help me see past the human desires so I can strive for the Spiritual desires that last for eternity! 

There is healing power in the Blood of Christ

Have compassion on me, Lord, for I am weak. Heal me, Lord, for my bones are in agony. (Psalms 6:2 NLT)

Lord help me when my physical body aches! Give me strength and allow the healing blood of Christ flow through my veins 

Unfailing LOVE from God

Pour out your unfailing love on those who love you; give justice to those with honest hearts. (Psalms 36:10 NLT)

God, you show me love and mercy when I least deserve it- I know I should be practicing this very act with others that I believe have wronged me in some way. Remind me that my wrong acts against you are far worst than any person has wronged me; yet you still LOVE me without condition...so I should do the same!

Remind us Lord of your love. Help us see beyond our limited understanding so we can enter a place of holy worship

Trust God when temptations overwhelm you

The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure. (1 Corinthians 10:13 NLT)

Lord there are so many things in life that stray me away from all the blessings you promise; remind me to stay away from temptations that are spirit destroying and life ending 

What REAL LOVE looks like

This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins. No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is brought to full expression in us. We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them. (1 John 4:10, 12, 16 NLT)

God teach me about TRUE Love. Allow only your love to shine through my heart. Help me see past my failures and teach my heart to be genuine about issues that break your heart. 

Clean heart and loyal spirit

Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me. (Psalms 51:10 NLT)

God help me make choices in my life with the clean heart that you create. Remind me to listen to the prompting of the Holy Spirit

Seeking The Lord

Right thinking instead of stinking thinking!!

Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you. (Philippians 4:8, 9 NLT)

Lord help me have thoughts that are pure and pleasing to you! Keep me away from destructive thoughts that bring death to relationships and death to doing the next right thing for my best life possible!

Be encouraged

The humble will see their God at work and be glad. Let all who seek God’s help be encouraged. (Psalms 69:32 NLT)

Humbly seek God and be encouraged that he will never leave your side 

God is Love

God your love covers ALL! Remind me to trust this LOVE each day! 

Freedom through Christ

But the Scriptures declare that we are all prisoners of sin, so we receive God’s promise of freedom only by believing in Jesus Christ. (Galatians 3:22 NLT)

God gives us freedom to make choices that impact our lives. What will you do with your freedom? How will you use it? What choices will you make? Since freedom was not free and came at a high price with Christ's blood, will I always remember not to take freedom for granted 

A Prayer life is a good life

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6, 7 NLT)

I want to live a life free of worry and a life full of prayer!!! 

Human heart deception when we allow lies to reside inside

“The human heart is the most deceitful of all things, and desperately wicked. Who really knows how bad it is? But I, the Lord, search all hearts and examine secret motives. I give all people their due rewards, according to what their actions deserve.” (Jeremiah 17:9, 10 NLT)

This is so TRUE! My heart can be filled with junk over time and I cannot hide the lies because God sees all things. Cleanse us Lord, as we try to fill our hearts with righteous and healthy living! I want to be rewarded for the just things in my heart and not for the lies or destruction that I allow sometimes to reside in the heart! 

God has placed our sins on the biggest and strongest weight lifter that the world has seen

All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God’s paths to follow our own. Yet the Lord laid on him the sins of us all. (Isaiah 53:6 NLT)

Jesus you shoulder the weight of humanity's sin and overcame the destruction of the world and never once did you turn your back on those that came to you for grace and mercy. Remind Lord I don't need to feel like I have to go through this world alone. 

To come into God's presence requires the sacrificial blood of Christ

“If only you would prepare your heart and lift up your hands to him in prayer! Get rid of your sins, and leave all iniquity behind you. Having hope will give you courage. You will be protected and will rest in safety. (Job 11:13, 14, 18 NLT)

Show us Lord to always pray for everything; even when we don't deserve to be in your presence. Teach us to speak to you in all matters big and small. Prepare our hearts so we can recognize that we are never innocent and pure enough to come into your precense without the sacrificial blood of your Son, Jesus, the perfect human-blameless and sinless! 

Worthy is our God

He alone is your God, the only one who is worthy of your praise, the one who has done these mighty miracles that you have seen with your own eyes. (Deuteronomy 10:21 NLT)

God I am so greatful for your gifts and miracles. Help me not forget how you brought me out of despair and gave hope the moment I accepted you into my heart. Continue to work in me as I try to lead a life that gives you worthy praise!
