Living purely

“Then each of you will control his own body and live in holiness and honor—

Lord my prayer is to life a life pure in heart and conviction! I ask for Holy Spirit guidance in my daily decisions that my thoughts are pure and filled with your grace. Allow NO negative thought bring destruction to your plans. Help me uplift those around me by being pure with my intentions 

Hard work

“Work hard and become a leader; be lazy and become a slave.”

Proverbs 12:24 NLT

Lord help me see that my hard work is always rewarded and recognized by you! I don't need the approval of this world but need to know that you approve of me and my actions 

Listen for God's voice

“Listen to me; listen, and pay close attention.”

Isaiah 28:23 NLT

Lord I need to stop and truly listen to you! I need to be slow to speak and quick to listen and pay close attention. We often miss the best advice and gifts just because we are rushed to get to the next step...help me not to miss the best advice or gifts because I fail to listen 

God holds everything together since he is the beginning and the end

“He existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together. Christ is also the head of the church, which is his body. He is the beginning, supreme over all who rise from the dead. So he is first in everything.”

Colossians 1:17-18 NLT

Lord you are the beginning and the end! I will not fear for I know you have everything under your control! I am encouraged to trust your every move although I often times don't understand your ways...but thank God I don't because I have been blessed with an adventure beyond my wildest dreams 

Patience...finishing what you have begun

“Finishing is better than starting. Patience is better than pride.”

Ecclesiastes 7:8 NLT

Lord thank you for daily patience! Help me when my flesh would rather scream and kick about how unfair life can be but you remind me that finishing is always better than starting. There is always a reward in perseverance 

Be BOLD

“Since this new way gives us such confidence, we can be very bold.”

2 Corinthians 3:12 NLT

Each day presents a new challenge to conquer! I pray for guidance and strength that the Twinkies capture the essence of of each day and fulfill the promises God has for their lives. 

No fear of Future thinking

“She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.”

Proverbs 31:25 NLT

Lord each day is filled with wonders that lead to moments in time in the future that will impact our lives and give us hope for living for something beyond ourselves. I want to live each day with no fear of the future. Help me to teach the Twinkies this important life lesson 

Cling to your Faith

“Cling to your faith in Christ, and keep your conscience clear. For some people have deliberately violated their consciences; as a result, their faith has been shipwrecked.”

1 Timothy 1:19 NLT

Lord I count on my faith in you each day! Help me fight through the thoughts that would hinder my progress with becoming closer to you! I cling to my faith knowing this is the only way I can survive the day! 

Trust God at all times

“O my people, trust in him at all times. Pour out your heart to him, for God is our refuge. Interlude”

Trust in you Lord is sometimes hard because of our human flesh not being able to understand the vastness of how great you really are. I know in my heart by faith that trusting you is easy but there are times that I struggle with trying to do things on my own because I selfishly believe I know what is best, but remind me that my faith in your trust is stronger than any power I have on my own 

Heart talk with God

“My heart has heard you say, “Come and talk with me.” And my heart responds, “ LORD, I am coming.””

Lord each day I want my heart to be with you! I want my heart to think of you. Thank you for hearing my pleas and allowing me to talk to you each day with the whisper of my heart

Worry of nothing for God makes you worthy

Lord thank you for making me worthy of your love and helping me not worry of the day's obstacles 

Being obedient leads to great wisdom

“How wonderful to be wise, to analyze and interpret things. Wisdom lights up a person’s face, softening its harshness.”

Ecclesiastes 8:1 NLT

God being obedient to your directions leads to great wisdom! Thank you for helping each day to make sense of the world! 

Love beyond our faults

“Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.”

Colossians 3:12-13 NLT

Thank you Lord for a heart of forgiveness. Remind me that my faults do not make the person but because of humility and your mercy, I can see past the faults of myself and others! 

The Lord is faithful from generation to generation

“But the love of the LORD remains forever with those who fear him. His salvation extends to the children’s children of those who are faithful to his covenant, of those who obey his commandments!”

God thank you for your promises! Thank you for allowing your promises to be passed from generation to generation! Allow your Spirit to work in ways beyond my understanding! 

Walking humbly

“No, O people, the LORD has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.”

Lord teach me daily how to follow your ways and to give up selfish ways. My desire is humbly live a life that is pleasing to you. 

Pursue a life of purpose

“Whoever pursues righteousness and unfailing love will find life, righteousness, and honor.”

Proverbs 21:21 NLT

Lord I pray my life is a representation of your unfailing love in my life. I want to pursue you daily and live a life of purpose. 

Gift giving

“Giving a gift can open doors; it gives access to important people!”

You never know who you will impact when you give an unwarranted gift! I pray Lord that I am reminded daily of the kindness of others and to make an effort to demonstrate this kindness in return 

Rely on the strength of God's word

Lord your Word is flawless and I am grateful that your strength is there to pick me up when I fail to recognize that it's only your strength that moves mountains and the only strength that carries me through the worries of each day

God is my true desire

Lord help me focus my thoughts as you being my only and true desire of my heart 

A God's piece of work

“For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him." Philippians 2:13 NLT

Lord work in me each day and show me my life and the way I should be living. Help me rid the things that would bring me harm and work in me a heart that strives to do your will

Guidance from God's love

Lord thank you for guiding my steps with love that never waivers. On days when I feel empty, you lead me to the center of your heart, so I may be filled with the goodness of your love
