Intentional with love

And do everything with love. (1 Corinthians 16:14 NLT)

Lord thank you for showing love and being love so I have a great example to follow 

Be intentional with trusting God

“Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. (John 14:1 NLT)

Lord I want to be intentional with not worrying about my day or my circumstances! I thank you for my heart filled with your truths so that I am not worried about the obstacles I might face this day! Remind me that all you ever wanted was a trusting heart for you 

God understands your heart

For the word of the LORD holds true, and we can trust everything he does. He made their hearts, so he understands everything they do. (Psalms 33:4, 15 NLT)

God how can I argue against this fundamental truth! From the beginning of time our hearts were made in only a way that you understand. Mold our hearts in a way that always yearns for you and your great love. Help us use our hearts in a way that brings love and hope to others 

Being freed

And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:32 NLT)

Lord thank you for the truth of your love and grace. Thank you for allowing my eyes to be opened to the truth that I am LOVED and beautiful in your sight. Allow the truth to set me free from the chains that would keep me down from reaching my full potential 

Intentional redemption

Redemption does not come so easily, for no one can ever pay enough (Psalms 49:8 NLT)

Lord I want to be intentional with trying to make it right. Help me on a path away from unhealthy choices so I can intentionally choose your redemption. I know your sacrifice is the only thing that can cleanse me but I pray that my daily intentions to follow you help me on my road to complete redemption. 

Intentional with love

Lord it seems to be such an easy task but we often don't demonstrate this truth. Help me be intentional with this practice each day

Being intentional with our thoughts

“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the LORD. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. (Isaiah 55:8 NLT)

Thank you Lord that you see far beyond what my small mind could even imagine. Help train my thoughts to show a reflection of your love and service 

Cleansed

to make her holy and clean, washed by the cleansing of God’s word. (Ephesians 5:26 NLT)

Lord what a reminder each day that we can come before you cleansed through your Son's blood. I want to be intentional with the cleansing of my heart each day to remain focused on you

Seeking God's strength

Search for the LORD and for his strength; continually seek him. (1 Chronicles 16:11 NLT)

Remind me Lord to be intentional and relentless in seeking your strength. Often I fall so short from getting it right because I failed to focus on your strength; instead I focused on my own. 

Don't be deceived by thoughts that are not real

Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the LORD will be greatly praised. (Proverbs 31:30 NLT)

Lord teach me to listen to the voice that gives life to my thoughts. Help me not believe in the lies of the enemy that would have me believe that charming my way around people will build healthy and lasting relationships. Help me see past the outward beauty and find the beauty that lies within 

Intentional power of God

These are just the beginning of all that he does, merely a whisper of his power. Who, then, can comprehend the thunder of his power?” (Job 26:14 NLT)

Lord help me understand that your power is always intentional. Remind me Lord the power you possess is far beyond my closed mind. Allow your power to intentionally bring down walls that would separate me from you 

Plans to receive unfailing love and faithfulness

If you plan to do evil, you will be lost; if you plan to do good, you will receive unfailing love and faithfulness. (Proverbs 14:22 NLT)

Lord work my heart for plans of goodness. Help me each day with intentional purpose to do good and not evil, because I know the feeling of unfailing love and faithfulness from you is far more precious than any human concept 

Being intentional in marriage

For the believing wife brings holiness to her marriage, and the believing husband brings holiness to his marriage.... (1 Corinthians 7:14 NLT)

Lord thank you for the gift of marriage, the special union of two people to become one. Lord I am remined each day that your intention was for mankind to never be alone but to form relationships that last eternity. I praise you Lord each day for knowing how to make my marriage last.

Keeping the mind clear

Cling to your faith in Christ, and keep your conscience clear. For some people have deliberately violated their consciences; as a result, their faith has been shipwrecked. (1 Timothy 1:19 NLT)

God we have all one time or another abandoned the truth placed in our hearts in search of something we believe might be better. Remind me to intentionally remember the truths in my heart lead to positive thoughts in my mind. 

Trusting the Spirit of truth

When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future. (John 16:13 NLT)

The Spirit of truth will lead you away from a life that is not what God intended but we often mistake God's eternal truths with our human beliefs, instead of trusting in the Spirit of truth. Lord help me be intentional to be still and wait on your Spirit of truth

Fill my heart full of your truths

Gently instruct those who oppose the truth. Perhaps God will change those people’s hearts, and they will learn the truth. (2 Timothy 2:25 NLT)

Lord use my life as a living example to show intentional purpose to live truth each day so my heart is filled full of your truths

Intentional words to show love

When we tell you these things, we do not use words that come from human wisdom. Instead, we speak words given to us by the Spirit, using the Spirit’s words to explain spiritual truths. (1 Corinthians 2:13 NLT)

Lord help me with intentional words when I speak. Allow your Spirit to bring forth words from my mouth that demonstrate your truths and love. "When we love, we have the right to speak the truth!"-Casting Crowns 

The only person we should be pleasing is God

Our purpose is to please God, not people. He alone examines the motives of our hearts. (1 Thessalonians 2:4 NLT)

God help me work through my heart with great intention so I can get rid of anything that is not pleasing to you. 

Beauty that is intentional

You should clothe yourselves instead with the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God. (1 Peter 3:4 NLT)

Lord I want to be intentional with the beauty of my Spirit. I give attention to my outward appearance everyday as I get ready for my day but often I tend to neglect to be intentional about my inner beauty. Help me demonstrate a beauty that out shines any outward beauty that I show through clothing, make up or body image. Work on me from the inside out!! 

Only your Guidance

He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name. (Psalms 23:3 NLT)

Lord I am reminded that your guidance will help me on my path of being intentional each day with every thought and every action. Thank you Lord for small and big moments to honor your name

With a clear conscience be intentional

Cling to your faith in Christ, and keep your conscience clear. (1 Timothy 1:19 NLT)

Lord I want my focus to be in you; to be able to keep a clear conscience so that my intentions are purposeful and fulfill your promises 

Peace during a storm

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. (Colossians 3:15 NIV)

Lord I am thankful through any storm you bring peace when there appears to be none, and what a blessing to know that the peace you give surpasses all human understanding
