God sees you through his eyes and not through others

Thank God that he sees Christ living in me. Grateful that I am cleansed by his blood. So thankful God doesn't listen to mankind's report of each other's actions but that everything is seen by him already. 

Your heart matters!!!!

Therefore, change your hearts and stop being stubborn. (Deuteronomy 10:16 NLT)

Lord help me see the ways of my actions that are not pleasing to you! Change my heart for things that matter to your kingdom. Help me to teach the Twinkies that "heart" issues matter. Help them learn to guard their heart with your grace and mercy! 

Jealousy breeds disorder

For wherever there is jealousy and selfish ambition, there you will find disorder and evil of every kind. (James 3:16 NLT)

Lord help me teach the Twinkies not to covet what they don't have or to be jealous because someone has something bigger and better than they do. Give us a humble heart for the blessings we do have and help us share our blessed fortunes with others (whether this be blessings of wealth, intelligence, or material items) we can learn so much more when we share what is not ours in the first place....It all belongs to you anyways!!!

God's happiness

So I concluded there is nothing better than to be happy and enjoy ourselves as long as we can. (Ecclesiastes 3:12 NLT)

Too often God gets a bad image that he doesn't want us to have fun or be happy. Oh how wrong we are to ever believe that the God of Joy, doesn't want us to experience happiness in our lives. The happiness God wants us to experience should not bring pain or sorrow after we experience it! Remember the kind of happiness that will last for eternity, instead of the happiness that will only last  for your life time on earth 

A time to search and a Time to stop searching

For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven. A time to search and a time to quit searching. (Ecclesiastes 3:1, 6 NLT)

Our time needs to align with God's time! I know I have searched for things that I think I need or want, but God reminds me that I don't always have to be in search mode, when I have had what I needed all along in front of me. I am thankful Lord just for the very life you have created in me. 

Comfort from God

When doubts filled my mind, your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer. (Psalms 94:19 NLT)

Lord your comfort allows me to feel the depth of your Love, when my mind plays tricks on me. We sometimes listen to lies instead of feeling your truth wrap its power around our bodies. Give us comfort and hope when we doubt your ways!! 

God's Power

I did this so you would trust not in human wisdom but in the power of God. (1 Corinthians 2:5 NLT)

God's power is more than sufficient to sustain me! I pray Lord that I tap into your power and not be fooled by human wisdom and all its flaws. Trusting God to deliver me from any circumstance by his power 

When you are tired find power in God!

So take a new grip with your tired hands and strengthen your weak knees. (Hebrews 12:12 NLT)

When you are tired lean on God...find rest in his strong hands! Know that all the energy you exhaust will be fulfilled by God's power!

Trust God even with the smallest details

“Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. (John 14:1 NLT)

When your heart is heavy and when you doubt, remember to trust God. I know I often wait till things get bad till I trust or come to God for help, but his desire is for us to trust him everyday....even in the smallest details of our lives. 

God's love is unmeasurable

For your unfailing love is as high as the heavens. Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds. (Psalms 57:10 NLT)

God when I need you most you are there to remind me of your love! Help me see past my worries and to remain in your embrace of love 

Satisfaction does not come from material items.

Don’t love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, “I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.” (Hebrews 13:5 NLT)

God, things of this world do not last.....remind me each day that I should invest in eternal concepts and not worry about the next cool items I can possess while on this earth! Teach me to see the value beyond material items! 

God's judgment is a doorway to gaining knowledge

I believe in your commands; now teach me good judgment and knowledge. (Psalms 119:66 NLT)

God you are the ultimate judge and from your judgment their is pure love. Remind me that your justice is the only justice I need

There are NO Secrets that God Cannot see

The time is coming when everything that is covered up will be revealed, and all that is secret will be made known to all. (Luke 12:2 NLT)

There is nothing that can be hidden from God- Not your fears, Not your sin, Not your failures, Not your worries. God sees all things to the deepest part of our being. My prayer is when God sees me, he sees a heart that is willing to serve him with everything I have without reservation  and the secrets I think he can't see be revealed and forgiven 

God wants you to focus on him and not things of this world

He doesn’t care how great a person may be, and he pays no more attention to the rich than to the poor. He made them all. (Job 34:19 NLT)

God doesn't have favorites; he loves all his children. God wants us to pay attention to eternity and not the titles, fame, power, or money of this world 

I am my worst critic

He gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds. (Titus 2:14 NLT)

With Christ's sacrifice on the cross, I am reminded that when God sees me, he sees the cleansing blood of his son over me. I need to be able to forgive myself when I make mistakes and know that God has our lives covered with the only blood that washes our mistakes away. Those that believe in his grace are covered by this same Love!

Cleanse the Heart

How can I know all the sins lurking in my heart? Cleanse me from these hidden faults. (Psalms 19:12 NLT)

Lord cleanse me from the things I do not see or refuse to admit as faults. Help me see the truth of your love and how to serve with a heart that is pure and not resentful. Change my attitude to reflect a heart that is clean from anger

Prayer Focus

Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart. (Colossians 4:2 NLT)

God allow my prayers be meaningful and not shallow. Teach me to pray in a way that reaches your very existence. Help me to come to a place in prayer that speaks directly to you and not to be selfish about my personal desires but rather listen to you with all human understanding. 

God is a heart changer

“The Lord your God will change your heart and the hearts of all your descendants, so that you will love him with all your heart and soul and so you may live! (Deuteronomy 30:6 NLT)

What an awesome promise from God!!! When we see destruction and when we fear that the future generations will be doomed; take comfort in knowing that it starts with us; our hearts will be changed and God will change the hearts of your children and their children.....leave behind a legacy for your family that honors God! 

God knows our hearts

He made their hearts, so he understands everything they do. (Psalms 33:15 NLT)

God's knowledge of every single molecule in our body does not escape him for even a second; so to try to put God in perspective is beyond anything I could even fathom. This is the same knowledge he used to make our hearts, so we should never question when God confronts our deepest desires. 

Having a good Heart!

A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. What you say flows from what is in your heart. (Luke 6:45 NLT)

God help me keep my heart pure and right in your ways! I want to demonstrate good things that come from the heart! Help me understand that the desires of my heart should have you at the center

Clear conscience by Faith in Christ

Cling to your faith in Christ, and keep your conscience clear. For some people have deliberately violated their consciences; as a result, their faith has been shipwrecked. (1 Timothy 1:19 NLT)

Lord help me see past my failures and guide my mind to a place that focuses only on you and your plans for my life. Help me when I struggle to understand 

Slow down today; experience the journey

We are merely moving shadows, and all our busy rushing ends in nothing. We heap up wealth, not knowing who will spend it. (Psalms 39:6 NLT)

Lord remind me how to SLOW down and not allow the busyness of each day overcome me! Remind me to teach the Twinkies to take a breath and see the wonders you have created around us. Focusing only on the goal and not experiencing journey is NOT how you want us to live our lives 

Don't be a burden to others with your worries

Worry weighs a person down; an encouraging word cheers a person up. (Proverbs 12:25 NLT)

Help me be encouraging each day Lord...help me see past my own worries, so others can see faith in your truths! 

Healing from physical ailments

I will give you back your health and heal your wounds,” says the Lord...... (Jeremiah 30:17 NLT)

Trust that God has the power to heal the most uncurable diseases to the simple cold viruses. Thank you Lord that when I don't feel well, you are there to bring healing and strength 

I am not PERFECT!

Indeed, we all make many mistakes. For if we could control our tongues, we would be perfect and could also control ourselves in every other way. (James 3:2 NLT)

Lord.....I am far from being perfect, so help me not to expect others around me to be perfect. It's so much easier to point out the faults of others than in ourselves. I don't want to be that type of follower. Help me be forgiving! 

God's love and mercies cannot be earned

But the Lord our God is merciful and forgiving, even though we have rebelled against him. (Daniel 9:9 NLT)

Lord, through all of our mistakes....your love is so deep that you continue to show love, even when we don't deserve it. We are greatful that your love and mercies are not contingent on are good/bad actions 

Freedom always comes with a heavy cost

He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins. (Ephesians 1:7 NLT)

As we remember Independence Day in America....Lord, help us understand the true cost of Freedom! God you demonstrated your love for freedom from sin by the sacrifice of your son's blood. Remind us that freedom has always come with a heavy price

A New Day!!

Light is sweet; how pleasant to see a new day dawning. (Ecclesiastes 11:7 NLT)

God I am thankful to see a new day, a fresh start, a new opportunity to get it right on this day! I am encouraged each day that you are a God that never gives up on me!!! 

Life with God

For you are the fountain of life, the light by which we see. (Psalms 36:9 NLT)

Lord without you, we are blind to things that would bring destruction to our lives. God you are the very essence of life...the air I breathe, the water that quenches thirst. Remind me each day Lord that this life is not possible without you

Holiness through Christ

And I give myself as a holy sacrifice for them so they can be made holy by your truth. (John 17:19 NLT)

Because of the holiness of Christ and as you believe in your savior, you can take comfort in knowing he is making you pure and just
