Living in the Spirit

Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives. (Galatians 5:25 NLT)

God I want to be living in the Spirit each day. Help me feel the Spirit move through my life

Be Spirit Led!!!!

For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. (2 Corinthians 3:17 NLT)

Release all the desires of your heart to the Holy Spirit. Allow the Spirit to lead you to your best life possible 

God rescues

The Lord hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles. (Psalms 34:17 NLT)

God you hear me when I need you most. Remind me each day that your are always with me

Hard work is rewarded even when the results are not immediate

But as for you, be strong and courageous, for your work will be rewarded.” (2 Chronicles 15:7 NLT)

Lord help me when I am discouraged with seeing others who don't work hard but are still rewarded. Help me with my own shortcomings because I want to Change my heart that resembles your love 

There is hope even through disappointments

You will be rewarded for this; your hope will not be disappointed. (Proverbs 23:18 NLT)

God, even during disappointment times I want to recognize your blessings and your plans. Help me see past disappointments and help me strive to do better and be better 

Confidence with NO fear

My heart is confident in you, O God; my heart is confident. No wonder I can sing your praises! (Psalms 57:7 NLT)

Thank you Lord for the confidence I have in your promises. Allow me to demonstrate to the Twinkies that being confident in you, there is no reason to fear the impossible 

Patience allows for opportunities not to be missed

Teach the older men to exercise self-control, to be worthy of respect, and to live wisely. They must have sound faith and be filled with love and patience. (Titus 2:2 NLT)

Lord help me with patience by your wisdom. I don't want to rush through life missing beautiful opportunities to share your love 

There is always help found in God

For you have rescued me from my troubles and helped me to triumph over my enemies. (Psalms 54:7 NLT)

Lord your helping hand is always wide open and reached out for me to grab. Remind me Lord that you are always near to pick me up!

Our heart's desires should be of eternal things of God

Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart’s desires. Look at those who are honest and good, for a wonderful future awaits those who love peace. (Psalms 37:4, 37 NLT)

God help me see past my own selfish ways and allow the desires of my heart be filled with things that matter most to you! I want a future for my family that is not temporary, but one that lasts for eternity 

God leads you to your good life

Pray that the Lord your God will show us what to do and where to go.” (Jeremiah 42:3 NLT)

God will lead you to your good life. 

God is worthy of all Thanks

We thank you, O God! We give thanks because you are near. People everywhere tell of your wonderful deeds. (Psalms 75:1 NLT)

God, I am thankful for each day of things and people that you have placed in my life. Help me develop these relationships and not take for granted what you have blessed me with.

God does not change

God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through? (Numbers 23:19 NLT)

God I am reassured in the promise that you are Everlasting. I rejoice that you will follow me wherever I go and whatever I do. Thank you that I change my mind constantly but YOU are steadfast and consistent 

Breath of God

When you give them your breath, life is created, and you renew the face of the earth. (Psalms 104:30 NLT)

Lord you are the breath of Life! I need to reminded to stop and breathe in your presence; there is nothing more refreshing or renewing than your very life! Teach me and the Twinkies to breathe you in with every breath we have! 

Having a clear mind

But you should keep a clear mind in every situation. Don’t be afraid of suffering for the Lord. Work at telling others the Good News, and fully carry out the ministry God has given you. (2 Timothy 4:5 NLT)

I want a clear mind to accomplish the goals placed in my heart. I want the desires of my heart to be aligned with God's promises. I pray that my mind listens to God's quiet voice. 

Rejoice that God has already every struggle you face

For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.” (Zephaniah 3:17 NLT)

Whatever you face today, know that God is with you! Don't fear but rejoice that God has already won the battle for you

Trusting God with my Heart

“Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. (John 14:1 NLT)

God is my refuge and I want my heart to be at peace from any worries! God help me see your marvelous wonders that change my heart from doubting your promises 

I want to have a clean heart

He made no distinction between us and them, for he cleansed their hearts through faith. (Acts 15:9 NLT)

Lord I want to have a clean heart. I want a heart that is filled with your love and hope. Teach me to demonstrate a heart that is genuine, so the Twinkies can witness their mom "getting it right," even when there have been times when I have failed! 

Even in my weakness you still loved me

He remembered us in our weakness. His faithful love endures forever. (Psalms 136:23 NLT)

Even in our darkest hour, God was with us. God heard your cries and he felt your heart weep for his love. Never underestimate the power of his faithful love. His Love is the only thing proven to save us and that love is wrapped in the life of Christ. 

Enduring through life's circumstances will bring you to God's promises

Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised. (Hebrews 10:36 NLT)

Enduring through your circumstance will bring you to the very best God has for you! Don't give up and stay focused on God's promises 

Practice what you have learned from God

Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you. (Philippians 4:9 NLT)

Practice makes perfect.....I am sure you have this statement over and over!!! Their is truth to these words. God knows we need consistent reminders to keep moving forward and put into action all the things that he has taught us; but to perfect our ways, takes continuous practice and observations of someone who has done it right all along-Jesus!! Lord give us a heart that is willing to practice what is right and what is good!!

Trust in God's love

We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them. (1 John 4:16 NLT)

God's love is the only thing that will sustain you in this life! Trust that God's love will carry you through any circumstance 

There is purpose to the struggling

This is why we work hard and continue to struggle, for our hope is in the living God, who is the Savior of all people and particularly of all believers. (1 Timothy 4:10 NLT)

God show the purpose for my struggling obedience. Help us see that growing in faith requires a dying of ourselves so you can live within us. We have difficulty making room in our hearts sometimes, because we cannot see what you already have planned!!!

God sees your efforts

“I know all the things you do. I have seen your love, your faith, your service, and your patient endurance. And I can see your constant improvement in all these things. (Revelation 2:19 NLT)

God does not take likely the efforts we make to improve ourselves! God sees all things deep within the soul as well as the acts you produce! Show your love and faith by trusting his SON to save you from all things that would keep you from reaching your God given potential!!

God's promises never fall short

If we are unfaithful, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny who he is. (2 Timothy 2:13 NLT)

Even when we fall short with trusting God ....he still remains faithful with us!!

Living with God's Focus in mind

No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, (Philippians 3:13 NLT)

We know the past cannot be changed, yet we often dwell in past regrets. Lord...teach me to keep focus on you and what you are doing now. I don't want to live in a state of "I should have or I wish I could have" moments. I want to live in the moment with you 

Submission is not bad

“Submit to God, and you will have peace; then things will go well for you. (Job 22:21 NLT)

I have learned that submission is not a "negative" word; especially in reference to God. We often think when we submit to someone we are giving something up, but I would challenge this thinking by stating that submission is not giving something up, but rather giving into someone who knows more than you! I would rather submit to God and obtain his blessings, instead of holding onto things that never last! 

Stand firm on God's words

The very essence of your words is truth; all your just regulations will stand forever. (Psalms 119:160 NLT)

Listen to God's words!! Don't be discouraged by the words of others who speak lies or discouragement. People with broken hearts tend to wallow in their misery instead of looking for redemption in the One true Savior. Stand on God's truth and know that the only affirmation you need comes from him 

Reactions with God's righteousness

Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires. (James 1:20 NLT)

God help me be patient with people. I tend to allow their actions dictate my reactions and I want your Righteousness to dictate my reactions and NOT my human inadequacies. 

What you put in your Heart will come out

A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of. (Luke 6:45 NIV)

Remember what we allow in our hearts will direct our decisions! Make sure God is at the center of the heart

God's promises are Solid

Trust in the Lord always, for the Lord God is the eternal Rock. (Isaiah 26:4 NLT)

There is nothing more Dependable than God's promises. He is solid and will never wither away!
