Heart Matters

And I will give them singleness of heart and put a new spirit within them. I will take away their stony, stubborn heart and give them a tender, responsive heart, (Ezekiel 11:19 NLT)

Lord I want a heart filled with your grace and mercy. I want a Spirit filled heart to show the Twinkies that its their heart that opens the door to their Spirit. 

Humble yourselves

But those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted. (Matthew 23:12 NLT)

God remind me that being humble is exactly what Christ did for me on the cross.....A King in all your glory, to come off your throne and choose to save me!!! This is the ultimate act of humility. Teach me to lead my life humbly and not to desire things of this world, but to desire things that last forever!! 

Our prayers are always heard

I love the Lord because he hears my voice and my prayer for mercy. Because he bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath! (Psalms 116:1, 2 NLT)

God it's difficult sometimes to stop and just take a breath of you...even though I know you are the very essence of life; I often find myself getting caught up with the busyness of daily tasks that I don't make the effort like I should to spend time with you. Even when I am preoccupied with my own stuff, you always manage to take the time and effort to get my attention.....it's only Right that I do the same with my creator 😊

God's strength allows your children to receive blessings

For he has strengthened the bars of your gates and blessed your children within your walls. (Psalms 147:13 NLT)

God's protective strength allows me to release any fears about my Twinkies' future blessings and it allows me to focus on their current blessings that God has already given 

Spirit guided opportunities

Live wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every opportunity. (Colossians 4:5 NLT)

We will be faced with opportunities that we might not be sure how to respond, but allow the Spirit to give you wisdom in each circumstance; so you are not led down the wrong path 

Living by the Spirit through Faith

But we who live by the Spirit eagerly wait to receive by faith the righteousness God has promised to us. (Galatians 5:5 NLT)

God's promises are true!! By faith, I know my life is in God! I want me and my family to be Spirit led

Surrender it ALL

Surrendering to God is often difficult, because this means we admit to ourselves that we are not in control of anything. 

Lord teach me how to surrender each day to you......my attitude, my fears, my anger, my dreams, my job, my health, my family, my friends, my titles, my status, my home, my finances, and most importantly, MY Life!!!! 

Honoring God with a thankful heart

But giving thanks is a sacrifice that truly honors me. If you keep to my path, I will reveal to you the salvation of God.” (Psalms 50:23 NLT)

To honor God is how we want to live. I want to be thankful through all circumstances~ good and bad. I want to be led to God's salvation and to have a thankful heart along the way

Seek God first

Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. (Proverbs 3:6 NLT)

Lord this is my prayer for my family! We want to always seek you. We know you have never abandoned us. Help us see past our personal desires to focus on the desires you have placed in our hearts that HONOR you

Sometimes praising God is all you need to do

Praise the Lord, everything he has created, everything in all his kingdom. Let all that I am praise the Lord. (Psalms 103:22 NLT)

Sometimes the only thing you can do to get through the day is praise him. God I am in magnificent AWE of your wonderful creations. Help me instill this deep understanding of your glory to the Twinkies 

God is Worthy of All Praise

You satisfy me more than the richest feast. I will praise you with songs of joy. (Psalms 63:5 NLT)

God remind me that all I need is found in you! I want to show you that you are worthy of all praise no matter what my circumstances might be! 

Suffering now and being rewarded later

But even if you suffer for doing what is right, God will reward you for it. So don’t worry or be afraid of their threats. 

(1 Peter 3:14 NLT)

Lord help me see through my suffering. I don't want to be discouraged by my mistakes or by doing something right that  might have a negative impact on someone else's life 

Living a life with proof of God in it

We prove ourselves by our purity, our understanding, our patience, our kindness, by the Holy Spirit within us, and by our sincere love. (2 Corinthians 6:6 NLT)

Oh Lord how I desire to live this way! At times, I find myself being nothing like how this scripture describes how to live. I find my heart filled with anger instead of peace and I sometimes go on pretending that I am being Christ like but in reality the outter appearance does not match the inner appearance or vice versa. Help me be in sync with both!  

God is the ultimate blessing

Lord, you alone are my inheritance, my cup of blessing. You guard all that is mine. (Psalms 16:5 NLT)

Lord remind me that all the blessings you guard; although blessed to me, I know that it's because of you that I have been blessed. I might worry about the the things I do not have or worry about things I have not been given, but help me see that there is purpose for the blessings you give. Let me be wise to those purposes!!! 

God's home

I will make my home among them. I will be their God, and they will be my people. (Ezekiel 37:27 NLT)

I want God's home to be the example that we follow in our house. God wherever you are at that is where our home shall be!

God is a heart changer

“The Lord your God will change your heart and the hearts of all your descendants, so that you will love him with all your heart and soul and so you may live! (Deuteronomy 30:6 NLT)

I want God's heart to shine through me. I want the grace of God to fill me. Lord help the Twinkies to have a heart that represents the very best of you!!!

Living example of God's strength

My life is an example to many, because you have been my strength and protection. (Psalms 71:7 NLT)

God use me for your purposes. Allow my life be a living example that it is not by my own strength, but You who live in me. 

Faithfulness in each new day

Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning. (Lamentations 3:23 NLT)

Lord I am grateful you allow for a fresh start each morning. Thank you God for giving opportunities each new day to makeup for anything we missed the previous day!

Everything you need is found in God

And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others. (2 Corinthians 9:8 NLT)

Lord remind me that you have ALL that I ever need. You are the air I breathe, the water I thirst for. Show me to be content in you and not want anything else that only can satisfy for a short time; when i know you satisfy for eternity

God's Angels will protect you

For he will order his angels to protect you wherever you go. (Psalms 91:11 NLT)

Lord protect my Twinkies and my mom on this day and everyday. Have your angels stand firm around them!!! Allow your presence be know, so NO fear or worry be around them. Protect my family and friends each day, as they go through their tasks! 

God's joy

You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever. (Psalms 16:11 NLT)

What a promise from God!! I want to experience God's joy. I want to live his ways and be filled each day with something new and everlasting 

Beauty is not found in an outward appearance

You should clothe yourselves instead with the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God. (1 Peter 3:4 NLT)

God I want to teach my Twinkies about this kind of beauty! I want them to learn not to conform to the standards of this world, but to see the beauty that will last for eternity!!! Being beautiful has nothing to to do with outward appearances but everything to do with inner courage and peace 

Rest in God's presence

Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. (Psalms 91:1 NLT)

God even when I am too busy to think straight; HELP me find rest! Help me see what can be put off till the next day. Remind me that when I rest in your presence you restore my strength 

Everyone is deserving of Love

But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love. (1 John 4:8 NLT)

God remind me to show love by my actions; especially to those that test my patience! I am reminded that your love covers all my faults and you only know how many passes I have gotten through the years! Help me to love those people that seem undeserving and remind me that we are ALL underserving of your GREAT LOVE! 

Trust God for fulfillment and you will not be empty

Let them no longer fool themselves by trusting in empty riches, for emptiness will be their only reward. (Job 15:31 NLT)

God I don't want to live a life trusting things or people that don't last. Help me to trust beyond what I cannot see. I want to trust in the power that lasts for eternity and this power only comes from you

Experience God's happiness

Make me walk along the path of your commands, for that is where my happiness is found. (Psalms 119:35 NLT)

Happiness is found when your follow God. We often think our happiness is created by something we do for ourselves but in reality, happiness comes from sharing your thoughts with God and his ability to change any negative thought to something of pure Happiness. God reminds us through our thoughts that we were worth the sacrifice and happiness is only found in HIM!! 

Experience God's happiness

God reminds us through our thoughts that we were worth the sacrifice and happiness is only found in HIM!! 

God's Discipline is worth it

No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening—it’s painful! But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way. (Hebrews 12:11 NLT)

I want to be thankful even when I am being corrected! Lord I want to be taught how to live your ways and not my own; because I know when you correct my path I experience blessings beyond measure 

God's Plans for my destiny

So he will do to me whatever he has planned. He controls my destiny. (Job 23:14 NLT)

I am glad I do not control my destiny. Thank you Lord for being bigger and greater than I could imagine. I am blessed to know that YOUR PLANS are always the very best you have for me. 

Growth in God

May God give you more and more grace and peace as you grow in your knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord. (2 Peter 1:2 NLT)

My prayer God is for you to teach us how to Grow in your presence! 

Be joyful in your heart

I take joy in doing your will, my God, for your instructions are written on my heart.” (Psalms 40:8 NLT)

Learn to be Quiet!!!

Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in him. (Psalms 62:5 NLT)

God when I am rushed and feel like I am being pulled in all directions, help me to wait quietly for you. It's in the QUIET moments you give instruction and fill my heart with your peace!!!
