God's Love

But we who live by the Spirit eagerly wait to receive by faith the righteousness God has promised... What is important is faith expressing itself in love.

Have faith that God's love will overcome the world 

Don't compare yourselves to others! Be thankful that You are unique

If anyone thinks they are something when they are not, they deceive themselves. Each one should test their own actions. Then they can take pride in themselves alone, without comparing themselves to someone else, for each one should carry their own load. (Galatians 6:3-5 NIV)

This is a reminder not to compare yourselves to others. I often wonder what ifs....but I fall in a trap that is not meant for God's children. Twinkies learn that you don't have to compete with others or with each other. Know that God created you, uniquely wonderful, just the way you are!! I pray that those talents are used and that The Lord lead you away from wanting to compare yourself to things you don't have, but to be joyful for the things you do have!! We are truly blessed!!

God's shield of protection

God is my shield, saving those whose hearts are true and right. (Psalms 7:10 NLT)

God protects me and my family! God promises to be a shield when danger is headed in our direction. Lord remind us to remain true to you, even when we can't see you! 

Thankfulness with every new day God has created

I will thank the Lord because he is just; I will sing praise to the name of the Lord Most High. (Psalms 7:17 NLT)

Lord I want to praise you each and everyday!!!! Thank you Lord for your blessings!!! Thank you Lord that each and everyday there is a new purpose to fulfill!! Remind Lord how gracious you are to me and how to extend this to others 

Seeking God's Kingdom First!!!

Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. (Matthew 6:33 NLT)

Grace cultures remove grace barriers. We need to continue to grow in grace. Lord help me to seek you first....to trust you in all things!!! Help me to give grace freely as Christ did for me! 

Guard your heart

Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life. (Proverbs 4:23 NLT)

Lord don't allow frivolous concerns occupy my heart. I want the desires of my heart to be of you! 

Wisdom beyond human understanding

I did this so you would trust not in human wisdom but in the power of God. 

(1 Corinthians 2:5 NLT)

Lord remind us that what we believe to be what is right and just, tends to fall short of your glory. Remind us when we put our faith only in ourselves and not dwell in your power; we often fail. Give us wisdom beyond human understanding 

True happiness is found in God's presence

Happy are those who hear the joyful call to worship, for they will walk in the light of your presence, Lord. (Psalms 89:15 NLT)

God remind me that true happiness is found in your presence. Help me teach the Twinkies that happiness can only be found when you reside in their heart

God's wisdom guiding your path

He guards the paths of the just and protects those who are faithful to him. For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will fill you with joy. (Proverbs 2:8, 10 NLT)

God, demonstrate to me each day on how to allow your wisdom to guide my path, because I sure want to experience your joy

Prayers for families and friends that are broken on this day

Our bodies are buried in brokenness, but they will be raised in glory. They are buried in weakness, but they will be raised in strength. (1 Corinthians 15:43 NLT)

God with all the natural destruction within the earth, please gives hope and courage to overcome our worst fears. I pray for the suffering and worried individuals that now have to rebuild their lives. Lord we cannot explain natural weather events and the purpose of lives lost. Our hope is only in you to help us through the moment. Prayers for families and friends that experience heart ache on this day from weather disasters. Bring comfort and peace as we try to love those that hurt 

Listening to God and allowing him to work on those that offend you

Spouting off before listening to the facts is both shameful and foolish. (Proverbs 18:13 NLT)

I know I do this often, only because I want to be right or be the first one to say something. However, when I allow my mouth speak before my Spirit, I tend to be in a worse off situation. God teach me  how to listen...truly listen....without always wanting to interject my thoughts and opinions. Help me respect the other person who is speaking. Although I might disagree or have my feelings hurt...help me understand they are on their own journey with you and you will give appropriate correction when needed. 

The Lord brings Peace

But all who listen to me will live in peace, untroubled by fear of harm.” (Proverbs 1:33 NLT)

Trust God when he tells you to not fear your circumstances. Listen for his still voice to bring peace in your life 

Honor God with all that you have

Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. (Proverbs 3:9 NLT)

See God's blessings multiply when you are faithful with what he has already blessed you with!!! 

Differences between people share the same God, who created everything in Heaven and Earth by speaking it into existence

There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work. (1 Corinthians 12:6 NIV)

God remind me that my gifts and talents are very different from those around me. Remind me that I shouldn't be proving that I am better than someone else and they shouldn't be proving they are better than me. Our gifts were especially designed for us & those gifts should be shared for one common purpose- help the hurting and bring glory to your name!!! 

Hope in God's Word

I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope. (Psalm 130:5 NIV)

God allow me to wait patiently on your presence....help me change the distorted thought patterns I allow to linger. I want a new way of thinking that embraces your love; so this can be seen by words and actions. 

Joy Promise

You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever. (Psalms 16:11 NLT)

Thank you God for your promise of pure joy! Remind me of your presence so I don't become jaded with the wonders of your glory! 

Seeing the Truth through God's eyes

Open my eyes to see the wonderful truths in your instructions. Turn my eyes from worthless things, and give me life through your word. (Psalms 119:18, 37 NLT)

Lord, show me how to be an example to the twinkies that is worthy of you. Let me see the most important aspects of life! 

Face the stresses of the day with confidence

As pressure and stress bear down on me, I find joy in your commands. (Psalms 119:143 NLT)

Lord allow me to find joy and peace, even through the stresses of today! Help me find an attitude that welcomes challenges because I know that you are with me and I will not fear anything.

Mothers are special in God's sight

You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever. (Psalms 16:11 NLT)

With a gift of a child....God has placed joy in your life as you live on this earth. We get a glimpse of heaven through the lives of our children. Thank you Lord for trusting me with such precious gifts. Give me the strength and wisdom to guide my Twinkies that leads a path towards you!

Being Rescued by God

“God is mighty, but he does not despise anyone! He is mighty in both power and understanding. But by means of their suffering, he rescues those who suffer. For he gets their attention through adversity. (Job 36:5, 15 NLT)

Although God can deliver you from your trials in less than a blink of an eye; you find yourself questioning why hasn't he done if yet. Just maybe he is trying to teach you something through the pain but you are too focused on the pain and not on God. Remember the Lord's infinite wisdom and know that he is there with you. Have faith in God's power and understanding 

Don't be discouraged with not knowing the reasons for your current circumstances

Just as you cannot understand the path of the wind or the mystery of a tiny baby growing in its mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the activity of God, who does all things. (Ecclesiastes 11:5 NLT)

We might not understand the reasons for our current trials or the current season of life that God has us at, but have confidence that The Lord will not take you through a storm if he knew he wouldn't be able to carry you through it!! Have Faith that God will never abandon you in good times or bad. He wants to celebrate with us during our great moments and we wants to weep for us when we are faced with a trial. The amazing part of God is his ability to be in control of it all!!! 

A NEW DAY

Light is sweet; how pleasant to see a new day dawning. (Ecclesiastes 11:7 NLT)

With each new day Lord, I pray for a refreshness that helps guide my steps closer to you! 

New opportunities bring the ability to change

New honors are constantly bestowed on me, and my strength is continually renewed.’ (Job 29:20 NLT)

God you continue to restore me! Your blessings are poured out constantly! Remind me to use the new opportunities to glorify your name! 

Grace separates you from the world

“And now I entrust you to God and the message of his grace that is able to build you up and give you an inheritance with all those he has set apart for himself. (Acts 20:32 NLT)

Allow God's grace be filled in you. Know that grace is not something you can buy but only given freely. Impart some of this grace to those around you! Set yourself apart because of God's grace.

God is the Beginning and the End!

And I know that whatever God does is final. Nothing can be added to it or taken from it. God’s purpose is that people should fear him. (Ecclesiastes 3:14 NLT)

It's good to know that God is the Beginning and the End...there is nothing that we do that can change his plans for our lives. God gives us free will but its so amazing that he already knows what we will choose to do with our will!

Harmony

May God, who gives this patience and encouragement, help you live in complete harmony with each other, as is fitting for followers of Christ Jesus. (Romans 15:5 NLT)

All things are intertwined; therefore be patient with each other as you learn to live in harmony

Patience prayer

We also pray that you will be strengthened with all his glorious power so you will have all the endurance and patience you need. May you be filled with joy, (Colossians 1:11 NLT)

Patience doesn't come easily for me. Definitely a characteristic God continues to mold within me. I pray for patience each day that I find myself wanting to rush through life and not wait on God

Compassion Heart

You must be compassionate, just as your Father is compassionate. (Luke 6:36 NLT)

Lord show me how to display genuine compassion. Allow us to be real for our concerns for others! Guide me in my teaching of the Twinkies to have a servant's heart that gives compassion without expectation. Allow this truth fill me today!

Prayer brings you to the face of God

“If only you would prepare your heart and lift up your hands to him in prayer! (Job 11:13 NLT)

Today... the National day of Prayer!! The first Thursday of May! To recognize that God leads this nation and our lives; he paid the ultimate sacrifice with his son!!! Although with different beliefs and spiritual practices among God's people...I know by faith, his WORD stands firm, that when our hearts are pure and our eyes are focused only on HIM.... then there is deliverance from everything not good in our lives that would try to bring destruction to relationships that God has created!

I Pray daily for God to use me for his purposes to reach the hurting and lonely....not only to those close to me but also to those beyond my reach!

God answers prayers in all times

I thank you for answering my prayer and giving me victory! (Psalms 118:21 NLT)

God answers prayers in good times and bad!!! Be thankful in all times! God you deserve praise and glory for all the blessings you provide!!!
