Living a life with proof of God in it

We prove ourselves by our purity, our understanding, our patience, our kindness, by the Holy Spirit within us, and by our sincere love. (2 Corinthians 6:6 NLT)

Oh Lord how I desire to live this way! At times, I find myself being nothing like how this scripture describes how to live. I find my heart filled with anger instead of peace and I sometimes go on pretending that I am being Christ like but in reality the outter appearance does not match the inner appearance or vice versa. Help me be in sync with both!
