Love no matter the circumstance

Thank you Lord for great families and friends that love beyond infinity. Show us how to love each day, no matter the circumstance 

Intentional sacrifice

Make thankfulness your sacrifice to God, and keep the vows you made to the Most High. (Psalms 50:14 NLT)

Lord we come to you in prayer often and ask for things in return believing the flood gates of heaven will always pour down good fortune, but I know you don't work that way and I thank God you don't. How easy it would be to be handed everything and always expect that all our prayers are answered....the truth is that you know that would never build a lasting relationship with you, if everything was given so easily. Lord I am not talking about your grace because this is freely given but I am talking about our daily struggles in life that build character and draw us closer to you! I pray for these types of sacrifices that date me nearer and deeper 

Changed heart

And I will give them singleness of heart and put a new spirit within them. I will take away their stony, stubborn heart and give them a tender, responsive heart, (Ezekiel 11:19 NLT)

Lord change me each day to demonstrate a heart that encompasses a Spirit of love, forgiveness and hope. Thank you for a heart that can be changed 

Trying to find the meaning of truth in far away lands

because the truth lives in us and will be with us forever. (2 John 1:2 NLT)

Lord I often wonder if I can find truth in the everyday moments of life. I find myself praying for truth and think maybe this concept is some sort of fairytale. I am reminded today that your truth lives within in me- in my heart...it's been there since the beginning of time. I don't want to go searching for truths in faraway lands when the truth has always been closer than I can see. Allow me to use the truths to make choices in my life that honor your name

Building up those around me

So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing. (1 Thessalonians 5:11 NLT)

Lord sometimes it's hard to encourage those around us. We often get tired of hearing the same issues or at times feel overwhelmed with negative thoughts about the person standing next to us, but I pray for you to challenge me each day to be Intentional with building people up instead of trying to bring them down 

Learning to love in a different way

Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins. (1 Peter 4:8 NLT)

Lord help me learn to love and show love in a different way. I want to understand the love of Christ in my daily life because I know it's only then can I understand how this love covers all things.   

Revived

I restore the crushed spirit of the humble and revive the courage of those with repentant hearts. (Isaiah 57:15 NLT)

Lord each day revive my Spirit to have my heart be filled more of you
