In moments of despair cling to God

“I cling to you; your strong right hand holds me securely.”

Lord when I have nothing on this earth, I am comforted to know you hold me strong and you never leave my side in the moments of my despair 

Giving up the old to experience the new

“My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”

Galatians 2:20 NLT

Lord thank you for living within me, for your ultimate sacrifice and most importantly the love that you show. Help me walk a path that honors you daily 

A child of God

“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.” 1 John 3:1

 

Lord I am grateful to be a child of God and if people cannot accept me for who I am then my prayer is that they learn to accept you as they see my walk with you as my guiding principle. Walking with God was never promised as an easy journey but he promised to never leave my side 

Secure love

“Unfailing love and faithfulness protect the king; his throne is made secure through love.”

Proverbs 20:28 NLT

Lord thank you for reminding me that love is secure. Thank you for teaching me that love will protect and bring healing 

The Lord says you are worth the sacrifice and he holds all the glory

“But you, O LORD, are a shield around me; you are my glory, the one who holds my head high.”

Psalms 3:3 NLT

Lord thank you for reminding me of my worth each day! Thank you for reminding me that your sacrifice was made for your worthy people and you wouldn't have sacrificed your son's life if you didn't believe I am worth every bit that you say i am worth. Jesus's blood covers us because he believes we are worth it 

Allow wisdom to penetrate your heart

“I will teach you wisdom’s ways and lead you in straight paths. My child, pay attention to what I say. Listen carefully to my words. Don’t lose sight of them. Let them penetrate deep into your heart,

Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.”

Proverbs 4:11, 20-21, 23 NLT

Lord allow your wisdom to penetrate my heart and guide me down a straight path that leads to you. Help me see what I have been blinded to for so long 

Full life with common sense

“My child, don’t lose sight of common sense and discernment. Hang on to them, for they will refresh your soul. They are like jewels on a necklace.”

Proverbs 3:21-22 NLT

Lord remind me that common sense should not be taken for granted but rather embraced to produce a full life
