Faults of our own

Colossians 3:13-15 NLT
Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.

Lord I often forget to remember my own faults because it's easier to blame someone else for doing something wrong.   I want to live a life that reminds others to love first and grant grace when it doesn’t seemed deserved, but that's the great thing about grace you don't have to deserve it's just given freely

Thankfulness

Make thankfulness your sacrifice to God, and keep the vows you made to the Most High. (Psalms 50:14 NLT)

Lord I am thankful each day. Remind me that you never waver on your promises so I shouldn't waver on mine! Thank you for my family, health, job, beautiful home, friends, and every blessing in between 

Guided by God

You guide me with your counsel, leading me to a glorious destiny. (Psalms 73:24 NLT)

Lord I want to be guided by you each day and not be fearful where you will lead. I often resist because the path you guide me towards is not always easy, so soften my heart to be led by your Spirit each day

Correction in my life

All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. (2 Timothy 3:16 NLT)

Lord I need instruction each day. I often start the day making an attempt to keep focused on you; however I often see myself getting off track. Correct me when I need it and point me back to the right path

Straying away from the path

Some people have wandered from the faith by following such foolishness. May God’s grace be with you all. (1 Timothy 6:21 NLT)

Lord I pray that my path be lead by you so I am not tempted to leave it to follow empty promises! Thank you for the grace you show each time I stray and allow me to return 

Good things come from a good heart

A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. (Matthew 12:35 NLT)

Lord I want my heart to be filled with your teachings and promises. Remind me that my heart can demonstrate love to others when I fill it with your truths. Help me rid my heart of the enemy's lies

Bring peace to a trouble mind and heart

Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:7 NLT)

Lord my mind often wanders and does not remain focused on your truths. I find my heart giving into the lies of the mind that often pop up out of nowhere. I pray for your continued guidance and love, so I can fight off the things that are not pure of mercy and grace.
