Reminder what kind a life you'll have when we do our way instead of God's way

Galatians 5:19-21 MSG
It is obvious what kind of life develops out of trying to get your own way all the time: repetitive, loveless, cheap sex; a stinking accumulation of mental and emotional garbage; frenzied and joyless grabs for happiness; trinket gods; magic-show religion; paranoid loneliness; cutthroat competition; all-consuming-yet-never-satisfied wants; a brutal temper; an impotence to love or be loved; divided homes and divided lives; small-minded and lopsided pursuits; the vicious habit of depersonalizing everyone into a rival; uncontrolled and uncontrollable addictions; ugly parodies of community. I could go on. This isn’t the first time I have warned you, you know. If you use your freedom this way, you will not inherit God’s kingdom.

Lord I want a life far from this meaningless barrage of nothing. Allow my life to represent everything that is opposite from this list

God's love is greater than you can imagine

1 John 3:18-20 MSG
My dear children, let’s not just talk about love; let’s practice real love. This is the only way we’ll know we’re living truly, living in God’s reality. It’s also the way to shut down debilitating self-criticism, even when there is something to it. For God is greater than our worried hearts and knows more about us than we do ourselves.

I need to remember what true love looks like. When I often don't feel loved or willing to love myself enough to forgive myself for past mistakes, then God's true love is not shown through me. When I practice his ways to love, then any self doubt is forgotten because God is always willing to love me

Prayer is everything

Psalm 130:1-6 MSG

Help, God —the bottom has fallen out of my life! Master, hear my cry for help! Listen hard! Open your ears! Listen to my cries for mercy. If you, God , kept records on wrongdoings, who would stand a chance? As it turns out, forgiveness is your habit, and that’s why you’re worshiped. I pray to God —my life a prayer— and wait for what he’ll say and do. My life’s on the line before God, my Lord, waiting and watching till morning, waiting and watching till morning.

Lord I want this to be the prayer of my life!!! I want to live a life of prayer and trusting you'll always come through like you promise

God will use you as an instrument to reach others

2 Timothy 2:25 NLT

Gently instruct those who oppose the truth. Perhaps God will change those people’s hearts, and they will learn the truth.

Allow God to lead your fight to bring others to the truth. Your loved ones will eventually learn that your efforts to help was God's love working through you

God's Grace

Hebrews 4:16 NLT
So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.

Lord your grace will sustain all the pain and guilt of my mistakes, but remind me not to take this free gift for granted. REMIND me that grace is a free gift that was paid at a high price of Christ's blood.

Feeling all alone...God is there

Lamentations 3:22-24 MSG

God ’s loyal love couldn’t have run out, his merciful love couldn’t have dried up. They’re created new every morning. How great your faithfulness! I’m sticking with God (I say it over and over). He’s all I’ve got left.

A new and fresh start each morning because God is in control.  Not to feel alone and defeated but accomplished and motivated because it's a new beginning each day with God

God is so forgiving

Isaiah 55:6-7 MSG
Seek God while he’s here to be found, pray to him while he’s close at hand. Let the wicked abandon their way of life and the evil their way of thinking. Let them come back to God , who is merciful, come back to our God, who is lavish with forgiveness.

Lord there is nothing we can do to earn your love but to accept grace for exactly what it is...free and unconditional no matter how many times I fail... you still bring me back to you
