Allow The Lord to lead your heart

May the Lord lead your hearts into a full understanding and expression of the love of God and the patient endurance that comes from Christ. (2 Thessalonians 3:5 NLT)

God help me serve with a heart that is filled with your love and patience. Often times, I find myself becoming cynical and I know this type of attitude is not how you want us to live 

Allow your mind be filled with God's thoughts

So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace. (Romans 8:6 NLT)

Lord it's difficult to not follow my selfish ways. Spirit show me to allow you to control my thoughts so my choices bring outcomes pleasing to God 

The way is perfect when God is at the Center of your heart

God arms me with strength, and he makes my way perfect. (Psalms 18:32 NLT)

Since God is always by my side; how do I ever stumble in my selfish ways? My human body is weak and I need God to give me strength to overcome my harmful choices 

Testing and trials in our lives

Put me on trial, lord, and cross-examine me. Test my motives and my heart. (Psalms 26:2 NLT)

Lord I would not be truthful if I said I like taking tests or going through trials to be examined. I strive for perfection but know I fall so short. It's by Christ that i am even able to get through each day. Reveal the things of my heart that cloud your plans for my life. 

God never leaves you

You guide me with your counsel, leading me to a glorious destiny. Whom have I in heaven but you? I desire you more than anything on earth. My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart; he is mine forever. (Psalms 73:24-26 NLT)

There is so much encouragement in God's guidance! He has never failed me, even in my darkest hour....he never left my side. God hurts when I hurt, cries when I cry and laughs when I laugh; so there is no one better than HIM, that I know that will ever let me down

Happiness

Make me walk along the path of your commands, for that is where my happiness is found. (Psalms 119:35 NLT)

Lord I often forget that my happiness is always found listening to your voice and following your ways. When I have strayed and thought I had all the answers, I have failed miserably...help me follow the path that leads to true happiness found ONLY in you!! 

Find comfort in God's embrace when suffering a loss

I will never forget this awful time, as I grieve over my loss. The faithful love of the lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning. (Lamentations 3:20, 22, 23 NLT)

Thank you Lord that you hold us tight when we need your strong arms to embrace us, because our sadness can feel overwhelming at times
