Focused on God

“And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.”

Lord help me keep my focus on you and not the things or issues of this world. We are easily distracted by what surrounds us; remind us that when we focus on you, we remain steadfast on your promises 

Praying through every moment and find God's peace and hope

“Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.”

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 NLT

Lord remind me to pray through everything, through pain, through joy, through every moment. Remind me that you have claimed me as yours and I am grateful that there is everlasting peace and hope in you 

Real love is true sacrifice

“This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.”

1 John 4:10 NLT

Thank you Lord for the ultimate sacrifice. Thank you for Jesus and his gift of eternal life with you sinless and blameless, your love shown in a rare form  which is the blood at the cross 

Suffering are just small moments in life preparing us for bigger things

“Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later.”

Romans 8:18 NLT

Lord I am encouraged that each storm that I may face has an end and at that ending I am always more prepared to face the next storm in life. The life lessons learned will reveal your glory for our lives 

Seek God's kingdom

“Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.”

Matthew 6:33 NLT

Lord I want to seek you in all my ways and see your promises come to life. Show me that life with you is better than life without you

God carries your fears and replaces it with power

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.”

2 Timothy 1:7 NLT

Lord thank you for carrying all of my fears and replacing it with power and self discipline. Show me how to use the power of love in everyday moments 

Proclaim the Lord's greatness

“Give thanks to the LORD and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done.”

1 Chronicles 16:8 NLT
