Choose words to speak encouragement

“Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so that you will have the right response for everyone.”

Colossians 4:6 NLT

Lord help me use the words I speak to bring encouragement and not shame or guilt 

Be slow to speak

“Those who control their tongue will have a long life; opening your mouth can ruin everything.”

Proverbs 13:3 NLT

Lord teach me when it's time to open my mouth and speak, then teach me to keep it shut when I have the urge to say things that are not life encouraging 

Trustin in God's Word

“All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.”

2 Timothy 3:16-17 NLT

Lord help me to be steadfast in your word! Help me to trust on your words. Help me live a life that focuses on your promises that come from your WORD

Be extraordinary with God

“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”

Romans 12:2 NLT

Lord I want to think beyond the ordinary! I want to live beyond the ordinary! Help me each day on the ways I can change my thinking to be focused on you instead of focusing on myself 

Standards set by God

“Because of the privilege and authority God has given me, I give each of you this warning: Don’t think you are better than you really are. Be honest in your evaluation of yourselves, measuring yourselves by the faith God has given us.”

Romans 12:3 NLT

Measure yourself by God's standards. Continue to have faith that God will guide you through it all. Set standards high for yourself as they are always attainable With God's help

Give your burdens to God

“Give your burdens to the LORD, and he will take care of you. He will not permit the godly to slip and fall.”

Psalms 55:22 NLT

Lord thank you for allowing me to lay my burdens at your feet! Thank you for always caring for me during the toughest moments of my life 

A child of God

“See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! But the people who belong to this world don’t recognize that we are God’s children because they don’t know him.”

1 John 3:1 NLT

Lord I pray I continue to have a relationship with you that allows me to be a child of God who is fearless and humbled to be in your very presence. I pray that one day all will know your grace
