Love with abandon

“Love does no wrong to others, so love fulfills the requirements of God’s law.”

Lord teach me to love with abandon, never holding back. I want to demonstrate this level of love each day in my words and in my actions! Help me when I fall short of this goal 

Mistakes and lack of control

“Indeed, we all make many mistakes. For if we could control our tongues, we would be perfect and could also control ourselves in every other way.”

James 3:2 NLT

Lord remind me that my imperfectness comes from lacking control. Help me lean on you to help control my thoughts and actions so they are filled with your presence. I want you to control the path of my life and I need to step aside to allow you to be there

Blessings from above

“May the God of your father help you; may the Almighty bless you with the blessings of the heavens above, and blessings of the watery depths below, and blessings of the breasts and womb.”

Genesis 49:25 NLT

Lord remind me that the material blessings of this world do not even compare to the riches and rewards of your kingdom. We often find ourselves looking for false satisfaction when in reality the blessings you have given, live within in us and through us. Help me see beyond the temporary

Still belonging to God

“Yet I still belong to you; you hold my right hand.”

Psalms 73:23 NLT

Lord through all my transgressions and my human faults, I am yours...your promise to hold me through it all and guide my steps is a promise you never falter from, thank you Lord for loving me even when I least deserve it 

God holds all the wisdom and the power

“I did this so you would trust not in human wisdom but in the power of God.”

1 Corinthians 2:5 NLT

Lord remind us that our small minds are nothing compared to your power and wisdom and the moments we think we know the answers put us in our place to trust in you first 

New Year, renewed life with God

“Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy.”

Ephesians 4:24 NLT

Lord with the beginning of a new year is a beginning with fresh starts and requests for a renewed Spirit, help us throughout the upcoming year as we navigate through our personal struggles and life's circumstances. Help us see past ourselves so we can be helpful with others in their journeys 

Lean on God's strength

“God is my strong fortress, and he makes my way perfect.”

Lord we know that we are fall from perfect, yet you lend us your strength when we are broken and confused! Remind me that each step taken is with you by my side
