The way I want to live

My prayer Lord is to live each day that honors you. To live a life that becomes closer to you you each day 

Commitment to always listen to God

“Commit yourself to instruction; listen carefully to words of knowledge.”

Proverbs 23:12 NLT

Lord give me the commitment to always be willing to listen to you and not follow my own ways! Thank you for never leading me astray 

The right encouraging words

“For the LORD grants wisdom! From his mouth come knowledge and understanding.”

Proverbs 2:6 NLT

Lord often times I find myself tongued tied and speechless to provide encouraging words, but I want to strive daily to have the Holy Spirit be able to speak through me, not only with my words but my actions. I pray that you lead me to speak words that come from you, especially when I am at a loss for words

Keep focused on God's peace and remain thankful

“Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth.

And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.”

Colossians 3:2, 15 NLT

Lord remind me to place in my heart a peace and understanding that comes from you. Everyone struggles each day with their circumstances but I pray we remain focused on you and give you praise even through the trials 

Reassured with God's strength

““O Sovereign LORD! You made the heavens and earth by your strong hand and powerful arm. Nothing is too hard for you!”

Jeremiah 32:17 NLT

Lord I am encouraged that I can rely on your strength in my time of need; there is nothing that you cannot handle...with the very existence of life being created by your breath alone, how can I not trust this strength and power? 

Life with Christ

“For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God.”

Colossians 3:3 NLT

Lord I am grateful for a life lived in your presence. Often times, I know I forget to give you praise just for the very life you created within me....for I know that living is not merely my physical body being present on this earth, but the impact of my heart and mind that you allow to live through your promises 

Give grace

“Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.”

Colossians 3:13 NLT

Lord remind me of grace each day that I need and grace that I need to give
