Confess your mistakes and get closer to God

But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness. (1 John 1:9 NLT)

Thank you Lord for always willing to forgive my mistakes, even when I find myself falling for the same ones. Help me see past the error of my ways and lead me on a path that I know that brings me closer to you 

Living in God's favor

May the LORD show you his favor and give you his peace.’ (Numbers 6:26 NLT)

Lord thank you for giving me favor so my days are light and filled with peace. I know life is not lived everyday with this type of lightheartedness but I pray when I experience these days, that I don't take them for granted 

Happiness found in God

I am very happy now because I have complete confidence in you. (2 Corinthians 7:16 NLT)

Lord my happiness is found in you!! Each day I am thankful for the happiness I find in my heart. Allow the center of my happiness always be filled with God's love 

I can face the days worries with God on my side

The LORD hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles. (Psalms 34:17 NLT)

Lord thank you for rescuing me each day from the troubles I may face or the worries of the day! 

Seek God first and see how he provides

Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. (Matthew 6:33 NLT)

Lord thank you for the reminder to seek you first in all things....for I know I never have to worry about the tasks of each day! 

Fixed thoughts on God

And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. (Philippians 4:8 NLT)

Lord help me fix my thoughts that are worthy of your praise, take away thoughts that would hinder my mind on focusing on your promises. Help me see that my thoughts are directly correlated to my heart...so what it's in my heart directly impacts my thoughts, allow my heart be filled with love and compassion so my mind follow suit

Being thankful that God is always near

We thank you, O God! We give thanks because you are near. People everywhere tell of your wonderful deeds. (Psalms 75:1 NLT)

Lord each day is a blessed day, no matter what my circumstance, I want to give you thanks everyday! I want to praise you because you deserve it. I am thankful for each new day. Help me take advantage of each opportunity
